Out for 3 days

I'll be out from the blogosphere for 3 days for a very important task to do that needs my full attention. I will speaking for the women of our church on their Special Gathering. I need to have a quite time and meditation... I need to speak the message God want the women to hear. Please pray that every word that will come out from my mouth will be living words of encouragement... hope... and joy! God bless you...

I got countless things to thank God for this week. Top on my list are as follows ( at ramdom) :

1. The Christmas 13th month and additional Bonuses
2. Christmas Vacation for the kids - means more bonding time together
3. Healing of my son's cough and colds
4. My hubby's campus speaking engagements
5. I was able to attend our High school Class Reunion
6. My son was exempted from taking exams for 3 subjects
7. My brother and his family finally attended our churchs' service
8. Safe arrival of my In-laws from Manila
9. My brother got employed in a government agency
10.New Cell phone
11. Finally finished my hand made craft
12. My caregroup
13. The blogging tasks and opps

Gold : The Greatest Investment

Investment...it’s like a magic word to my mom. Before retiring from her 35years of Public service as a School teacher, a School Principal, a District Education Supervisor and a Regional Education Supervisor, my ever active mom finished also her Doctoral Degree specializing in Community relations and developmental change. Upgraded to a one level higher before saying her goodbyes to co-workers and colleagues, she received a retirement benefit enough for her to realize a dream to be involved in investments. She even tried to put in a portion of her income to a Coffee product for (5) years and earned from it too!

With the retirement fund she obtained, she aimed to venture on two different Bank Investments and a Financial scheme her friend introduce to her and a Bank Cooperative looking for investors. Unfortunately, two of that investment plans failed and my mom suffered a set back financially. She lost 400 thousand pesos from it. Still, she never gives up on her dream.

If she could just discover the big, big potential of investing in Gold, then it would be an open door for my mom to earn much from her hard earned money. Many are venturing to Gold investments and many are even buying gold and sell it at a much higher price. Gold coins and Gold bars are hot items in the market today as the value of Gold never depreciate instead it increases as the years go by. We have friends who are into this investment and they are very much pleased with it

Termite-free Home?

“Health is Wealth”, this is my mom’s favorite quotation. She always take premium when it come to her children’s well being. When I was still in my elementary years, mom would patiently and lovingly prepares snacks and lunch for me. She doesn’t want me to buy food prepared and sold on the streets. She’s also meticulous when it comes to house cleanliness. Our house is not as beautifully as the millionaire’s homes but I am proud to say that it is always clean, fresh and termite free. Thanks to my beloved Mom she was able to influence me in terms of household hygiene.

Talking about termites… I stumbled a site which covers all the basic of termite control - from information of termite colonies , how to do a termite inspection to the damage we can expect if our home has termites . They have also files of pictures to help us identify them. Ekkksss. .. seen One winged termite photo . I guess this is a good site for us all. Who wouldn’t love a termite-free house?

Growing Knockout Roses

Flowers are synonym for women.They are both fragile, lovely , sweet, scented and blooming. Women adore flowers. I for example love to adorn our home and my office with it. Some say the color of flowers have their own meaning. Even roses have their own traditional meaning. A rosebud means youthful love, mature roses symbolize lasting love or gratitude. White ones stand for purity, and the pink ones for happiness and contentment. Whatever the colors of flowers given, I believe women just love them not only for the beauty it transcends but because of the act of giving. It is the thoughtfulness and the effort done by the person that evoke joy and charm. For me, it is the meaning behind it why I still blush everytime my hubby gives me flowers.

If only I have a Big backyard at home, I surely would love to plant roses in different varieties. Knockout roses are available half its original price at http://www.roseknockouts.com/. So if you have enough space , why not try growing them? I guess the fulfillment of having a Rose Garden would be much greater. This would be a good business too! I have seen many musical movies since my high school years but top on my list is EVITA . It’s an opera-type movie where most of the dialogue where sung instead of spoken. Madonna and Antonio Banderas performance is remarkable exceptional – A perfect combination.

What made the movie more romantic was that hubby and I watch it while still on our honeymoon….

A Bleak Christmas

Christmas and New year Celebration are especial occasions we all look forward with joy and excitement. But in spite of the joy and merriment around me, there is a glint of pain that hangs around everytime I see things which reminds me of my mom who just passed away.

Last night, when I wrapped gifts I remembered her again. My mom is such a thoughtful and generous person. As early as October , she had already started wrapping gifts for her grandchildren , sisters and friends. We are always a buddy on shopping around for Christmas presents. Last year, we had fun roaming around Taiwanese stores for bargain sale. Christmas is our bonding time together. This month, we supposed to purchase new Evironmentally friendly furniture since she was planning to refurnished her home to welcome 2010 but that plan can never come to pass. My heart is grieving again as I am writing this post. I wish she’s till here with me… malling together… eating together… and wrapping gifts together.
